YSA Softball Summer League — NYC

Game photo The Yorkville Summer Softball League starts play in Manhattan in June. The regular season ends in August (weather permitting) with playoffs to follow. We offer men's and coed divisions.

Coed teams are required to have a minimum of 3 women on the team, in the batting order and on the field at all times.

WHAT DIVISIONS PLAY IN THE SUMMER?

Summer leagues are a mix of Division II (intermediate) and Division III (recreational) teams.

WHERE DO THE TEAMS PLAY?

Summer league games are played all across Manhattan: Uptown, Midtown, and Downtown.

WHAT ARE THE GAME TIMES?

Coed: All games are scheduled to begin between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
Men's: All games are scheduled to begin between 5:45 PM and 9:00 PM.

WHAT DAYS DO THE TEAMS PLAY?

Games are scheduled Monday through Friday, from June through the season end (usually early August, depending on weather conditions throughout the season). The night of the games is random. Playoffs and rescheduled games may not be in your zone/area.

HOW MANY GAMES WILL MY TEAM PLAY PER WEEK?

We schedule 1 game per week with 1 bye week per season (this means you will not play 1 week due to odd number of teams). You may see additional games per week or doubleheaders depending on cancellations due to rainouts or other unavoidable circumstances.

HOW MUCH IS IT?

$1,935 / team for the 2013 season.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?

10 regular season games
12 softballs
officials for the games
permits for the fields
playoffs for the top 6 teams in each conference (13-team conferences)
end of the season awards party
prizes to the top teams.

WHAT'S THE DEADLINE?

The deadline is open, but all registration is currently on a first-come, first-served basis, so please register today.

HOW DO THE PLAYOFFS WORK?

In a full 13-team conference, the top 6 teams qualify for single-elimination playoffs. If there are fewer than 13 teams, the top 4 teams will qualify.

Winning teams, first place and conference winners will receive trophies. Overall champs will receive trophies and/or jackets.
