YSA NYC Spring Softball Leagues
New for Spring 2015!
Introducing Men's Just for Fun division and a Men's II Randall's Island Conference!
The Yorkville Spring Softball League begins play during April. The regular season ends in July (weather permitting) with playoffs to follow. We offer multiple skilled divisions in men's and coed:
- Division 1 - Advanced
- Division 2 - Intermediate
- Division 3 - Recreational
- Division 4 - Just for Fun
Coed teams are required to have a minimum of 3 women on the team, in the batting order and on the field at all times.

WHAT IS THE "JUST FOR FUN" DIVISION?
Division 4 - Just for Fun a non-competitive conference for folks who like to play just for the sheer fun of the game.
WHERE DO THE TEAMS PLAY?
Yorkville Sports Association has access to locations all across Manhattan: Uptown, Midtown, Downtown—including Randall's Island. Up to 3 games may be played out of zone.
Please Note: Your team may be scheduled for additional out of zone games if games are rescheduled due to unavoidable circumstances (weather, field issues, etc.)

WHAT ARE THE GAME TIMES?
Coed: All games are scheduled to begin between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM. Initial schedules will include no more than three 5:30 – 5:45 games.
Men's: All games are scheduled to begin between 5:30 PM and 9:00 PM. Initial schedules will include no more than two 5:30 – 5:45 games.
Please Note: Your team may be scheduled for additional 5:30-5:45 games if games are rescheduled due to unavoidable circumstances (weather, field issues, etc.).

WHAT DAYS DO THE TEAMS PLAY?
Games are scheduled Monday through Friday (all teams will play a maximum of three Friday games), from mid-April through the season end (usually late July, depending on weather conditions throughout the season). The night of the games is random. Playoffs and rescheduled games may not be in your zone/area.

HOW MANY GAMES WILL MY TEAM PLAY PER WEEK?
We schedule your team to play one night per week in the regular season which may include doubleheaders. You may have one or two bye weeks during the season depending upon the number of teams and team blackout dates. You may play additional games per week or doubleheaders depending upon cancellations due to rainouts or other unavoidable circumstances — no more than two games per week during the regular season.
HOW MUCH IS IT?
2015 League fees: $2,475.00 / team for the season. The fee for the Coed II Central Park Only conference is $2,825.

The deadline for returning teams to register/pay to hold their spot from last year is February 15. The final registration deadline is March 10.
HOW DO THE PLAYOFFS WORK?
In 11-13 team conferences the top six (6) teams according to the regular season final standings shall be eligible for the playoffs. For 10 team conferences five (5) teams will advance, and for 4-9 team conferences four (4) teams will advance.
Winning teams, first place and conference winners will receive trophies. Overall champs will receive trophies and/or jackets.
