YSA Softball Spring Leagues
The Yorkville Spring Softball League begins play during the week of April 8th. The regular season ends in July (weather permitting) with playoffs to follow. We offer multiple skilled divisions in men's and coed:
- Division 1 - Advanced
- Division 2 - Intermediate
- Division 3 - Recreational
- Division 4 - Just for Fun
Coed teams are required to have a minimum of 3 women on the team, in the batting order and on the field at all times.

WHAT IS THE "JUST FOR FUN" DIVISION?Division IV - Just for Fun is COED only. It's a non-competitive conference for folks who like to play just for the sheer fun of the game. In order to qualify for Just for Fun, your team must not have any members that have played organized softball.
WHERE DO THE TEAMS PLAY?
Yorkville Sports Association has access to locations all across Manhattan: Uptown, Midtown, Downtown—including Randall's Island. Up to 3 games may be played out of zone.

WHAT ARE THE GAME TIMES?
Coed: All games are scheduled to begin between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM.Teams will play a maximum of three 5:30 – 5:45 games.
Men's: All games are scheduled to begin between 5:30 PM and 9:00 PM. Teams will play a maximum of two 5:30 – 5:45 games.

WHAT DAYS DO THE TEAMS PLAY?
Games are scheduled Monday through Friday (all teams will play a maximum of three Friday games), from mid-April through the season end (usually late July, depending on weather conditions throughout the season). The night of the games is random. Playoffs and rescheduled games may not be in your zone/area.

HOW MANY GAMES WILL MY TEAM PLAY PER WEEK?
We schedule 1 game per week with 1 bye week per season (this means you will not play 1 week due to odd number of teams). You may see additional games per week or doubleheaders depending on cancellations due to rainouts or other unavoidable circumstances.
HOW MUCH IS IT?
$2,325.00 / team for the season (the fee for Division 2 Coed teams, which play exclusively in Central Park, is $2,725).

- playoffs for the top 6 teams in each conference (13-team conferences)

HOW DO THE PLAYOFFS WORK?
In a full 13-team conference, the top 6 teams qualify for single-elimination playoffs. If there are fewer than 13 teams, the top 4 teams willl qualify.
Winning teams, first place and conference winners will receive trophies. Overall champs will receive trophies and/or jackets.
